Draft for the test period. A lawyer has not read it yet; it will change before Darplan opens to everyone.

Last updated 30 October 2026.

Darplan turns what you give it (a floor plan, a listing screenshot, a sketch, photos or a sentence) into a 3D home you can change and furnish. This page says what we keep, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. Short version: your home stays private, we do not sell anything about you, and there are no ads or trackers.

What we keep

We do not ask for your name, your address or your precise location. If you upload a plan or a listing that shows an address or a person’s name, we use it only to build your home; you can crop it out before uploading.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. If the law requires us to hand over data, we will tell you unless we are forbidden to.

Cookies and storage

This website sets no cookies and loads no tracking scripts. The app sets three small cookies, none for ads or tracking: your language (1 year), an id that links you to the plans you made on this device (1 year), and your copy of the example home (1 hour). It also uses your browser’s storage for settings.

How long we keep it

Your home and your household facts are kept while you use Darplan, and deleted after 12 months without any use. Waitlist emails are deleted once we have sent the opening email, or earlier if you ask. Logs are deleted after 30 days. During the test, this clean-up is done by hand; it becomes automatic before the public opening.

Deletion and your other rights

Write to hello@darplan.com from any address and tell us which home or which email to delete (a share link helps us find it). We delete it within 30 days and write back when it is done. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it. Depending on where you live (for example California, Quebec or the rest of Canada, or the European Union), these are rights the law gives you; we offer them to everyone.

Children

Darplan is made for adults planning a home. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Household facts such as “two kids, 6 and 9” are given by the parent and are used only to plan the home.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Access to the server is limited to the people who run Darplan. No system is perfect: if a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities.

Changes

We will post any change on this page with a new date. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will say so in the app before it applies.
